There were a lot of companies out there that were promoting rare coins and high premium products that aren't necessarily good investments. And so we saw a gap in the market at that time and wanted to fill it by providing people with value and basically giving them access to gold and silver, very close to the actual melt value of the metal, which is the way that people should be investing in gold and silver. 🏛️ World-Class Precious Metals Facility This new facility in Eagle, Idaho is literally the largest precious metals depository west of New York. People usually buy silver coins (https://www.moneymetals.com/buy/silver/coins) for one of two reasons; either they’re investing in silver as a precious metal or they’re interested in collecting silver coins prized for rarity and historical value. At Money Metals Exchange, we advise investors to stick to silver bullion coins because you'll get the most silver for your money. Money Metals Exchange created this video playlist to display the beautiful silver coins we offer and to educate you on the best way to invest in silver bullion without getting ripped off...
Silver bars (https://www.moneymetals.com/buy/silver/bars) are the traditional way to invest in this well-known precious metal. Investors typically seek silver bars for sale because they cost less for mints and refiners to produce than smaller rounds and coins. This means savings for investors who want to stack them. Saavy investors also know that the bigger the bar, the lower the premium. Silver bars tend to have more metal content than coins or rounds, so investors know they get more bang for their buck. A couple things to consider when looking at different silver bars for sale are the brand and mint because it'll be easier to resell if the brand and mint are recognizable. Also, be aware of off-weight bars and serialized bars. You may be paying more than you should if you purchase an older bar because they were probably poured, weighed, and marked based off of a scale's number - not very accurate. Serialized bars don't offer much of a benefit when you're ready to sell, and dealers often charge a higher premium - not worth it. Finally, remember that larger bars offer savings because of the lower premiums. If you choose to focus on larger silver bars for sale, we recommend that you don't remove the packaging it comes in because it prevents tarnishing and increases marketability. On the other hand, smaller sized bars are a better option when it comes to trading silver in small units. Either way, Money Metals Exchange strives to offer the most cost-effective silver bars for our customers.
Gold coins (https://www.moneymetals.com/buy/gold/coins) are an investment that preserve wealth, a hedge against inflation, and a safe haven during times of global uncertainty. The best way to own gold is through physical ownership. Savvy investors try to find gold coins for sale that are as close to the spot price as possible. One way to ensure getting a low premium is by purchasing larger coins. For instance, a 1/10 oz coin will typically have a higher premium than a 1 oz coin. However, some investors prefer the smaller denomination because they're easier to carry and use to barter. There are a number of gold coins to choose from, but it's important to consider owning the most common and reliable, value-based coins when saving or investing money.
Most investors prefer to buy gold bars (https://www.moneymetals.com/buy/gold/bars) over coins or rounds because they are generally more cost effective due to their wide range of sizes. Also, bars tend to have more gold content than coins or rounds making the product that much more appealing. However, wise investors purchase gold bars cautiously because the larger the bar, the easier they are to tamper. This is why gold bars over 10 ounces or those that are sold without the original packaging are discounted. Buyers understand that the level of risk is not worth the minimal savings on the larger gold bars. Saavy investors typically stick to 1-10 ounce gold bars because they are usually individually packaged by the refiner, which makes them tamper-resistant. The packaging also acts as a certificate that guarantees holders of the weight and purity of the product.
